Derek Kennard is a former American football guard and center who played 11 seasons in the National Football League for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals, New Orlean Saints and Dallas Cowboys. In Super Bowl XXX where the Cowboys went on to win, he started at center and played with a severe separated shoulder. Since being retired from the NFL, Derek has shifted his focus to helping improve the health of current and former professional athletes as well as the general public through promoting sleep apnea awareness across the country. He has teamed up with dental icon, David Gergen, and Pro Player Health Alliance to hold free public awareness events in local communities all over the nation. After joining Pro Player Health Alliance, he has helped get over 150 former players successfully treated for sleep apnea.
